Apartment for rent-No fee. Where to ad?

I have this beautiful duplex for rent – I am the owner, and I am charging no fees besides the rent and deposit. I am not sure where to advertise it’s for rent. Any advice? The apartment is in Park Slope, and the area it’s awesome. Thank you in advance.

You might want to try local block e-lists. The one on ours works every time…I get responses within hours. I second Craiglist also. It’s not hard getting a credit check, and Housing Court checks etc may not be needed if your apt is market rate and you have good instincts.

I’ve rented my two units several times without a broker. If you can craft a well-written CL ad with good photos that is clearly a true FRBO, people will come. Just make applicants pay for their own credit check.

I’d go with a free Craigslist ad rather than paying for nytimes or bstoner ads. You’ll get plenty of responses for a park slope apartment if it’s fairly priced. You can go with a broker if you want to outsource the job of screening, but you may somewhat limit the applicant pool – to those willing and able to pay the broker fee (in addition to 1st month & security).

Or use a seasoned independent broker like myself. I charge one months rent or less as a fee. I’ve been doing this over 12 years. I do all the proper credit and reference checking . I can find a compatible , qualified tenant . 917 586 5185

Craigslist. You’ll get plenty of folks to come look. Just be sure to check references and credit. Also, there are rental listings here, aren’t there? And the NY Times.
