I’m trying to gather some information on a house that has a 1/2 address, but I’m not sure how to locate the block and lot number or look up the records in ACRIS since the NYC DOF website does not accept “.5” or “1/2” as valid entries. It keeps finding only the house next door with the whole number. But there are tons of these 1/2 addresses in the city. Anyone know how they’re listed in the system? Thanks.

It sounds like you’ve found the block number, now try putting in lot numbers one number higher and lower than the lot number of the whole house number lot number. Sorry for the awkward sentence, but you get the point. Lot numbers aren’t always sequential but they usually are.
Also, if you go to http://gis.nyc.gov/doitt/nycitymap/ you can put in the address of the house with the whole house number, then click on the neighboring house that you’re looking for and it will give you the block and lot number as well as other info.
Good luck!

or try 125A Pineapple Street instead of 1251/2

Fairly simple. Go to http://gis.nyc.gov/dof/dtm/index.jsf “click on Access Current Tax Map” in the search options scroll down to “property address” enter the address you have available. Click on search up will come the tax map showing the property address you entered as well as the parcels on either side. Jot down the block and lot numbers of the adjoining parcels, go back to Acres and search the adjoing parcels by block and lot.
Good luck,
