Early signs of pipe collapse?

There is some strange water on the floor of my basement which I’m concerned about.  It’s seeping in through the faoundation directly under the entry point of the (very old) water main and waste pipe. Both pipes show no sign of backup or compression (no backing up of the waste line and the water flow into the house seems normal) but it hasn’t rained in days and the water is extremely unusual.  How alarmed should I be and how quickly should I act with this?  Is there anything I can do other than just wait and not store things near the floor of the basement?

You can always get the guys who clean the waste line to come and use a camera in your pipe and give you a definitive answer on whether it’s collapsed or not. I had this done a week ago or so, by 4999sewer.com, and they told me I have a root in my sewer line, blocking more than 50% of the pipe.
