Need rec for a professional with asbestos, ACP21 and DOB work permit knowledge

I’m in the middle of renovation, and the company I hired to do asbestos abatement didn’t do the paperwork they are supposed to do. They are a certified asbestos abatement company but they are refusing to do the right paperwork now. Without this paperwork, I can’t get a work permit. My expeditor doesn’t know about this issue well. I’m looking for a professional who I can consult this issue, and navigate me what I can do. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

We were lucky that they didn’t actually do the work, but we signed a contract with them and paid a deposit and found out a month later (and days before the job would start) that they weren’t able to file a specific form which, if memory serves, was related to air testing or some such thing. Basically we had wasted weeks worth of conversations with them and had a date scheduled for them to come and perform the abatement when suddenly we were informed that they could not actually get the appropriate paperwork filled out. They did confirm that they destroyed the check (which I believe as this was over a year ago,) and were courteous, but it sounds like a pattern of something fishy going on. Maybe some sort of licensing has expired or something? We ended up going with First Response Contracting who were great to deal with and got the job scheduled and done within a few days. Of course it was a fortune, as abatement is, but it was the same price as quoted by others. They organized the air monitoring service and got us all the appropriate forms to us and the DOB in a timely fashion. I know this doesn’t solve your problem, but might help others if they ever search for this topic.

You hired them to do an asbestos abatement project and they simply refuse to provide paperwork showing it was completed? There has to be more to the story than that.
