Shout Out for JIT Iron Works

Wanted to give a big shout out to a group who handled our facade treatment over the weekend. We live in the rear unit in that house on Bond Street with the wavy metal front (pre-Barclay’s) and over time the metal was looking tired and sad.  JIT and his group arrived Sunday morning, erected scaffolding, and prepped the facade for a treatment of clear coat (which we provided) which was expertly applied.  Working quickly but carefully they were able to apply two complete coats by mid afternoon.  While working, Jit mentioned that the black metal door, window guards and kick plate under the facade were looking tired as well.  He quoted us a price for redoing all of that, went to the hardware store to pick up the proper paint and had it all done that same afternoon.  The place looks like new again and we are thrilled.  They showed us samples of their work (they construct lovely tree pit guards) and we are talking to the owners of the front apartment about moving ahead with that.  They also do all sorts of iron work (railing, fire escapes, etc) and if the time and attention they gave to our job is indicative of their overall work ethic, Brownstowners can’t go wrong by giving them a call.  Reach Jit at 646-479-7253 and tell him Amy & Oscar sent you.
