Repointing with lime-based mortar

Be careful when you contract with a reputable restoration company. Be sure they are using 100% lime mortar. It’s very common for masons to mix harmful Portland Cement into their mortar. This can cause serious problems down the road. http://limeworks.us/ecologic_more.html

I used Brownstone Authority last summer to re-do some crap work done by Progeny Restoration a few years before that.   I was very happy with their work.
