Clues about how to prevent/fix cracks in basement floor and general water issues
Just bought a renovated building in Red Hook 2 mos ago. The builder put in some 4 inches of “waterproof” cement to prevent flooding and closed up the drain (no comments – not my choice). The waterproof cement now has cracks, some wider and long, and more form every time it rains. Last night there was water puddling from the electricity ground and the cracks. Does anyone have any clue how to fix this or can recomend someone to help? There is also a lot of moisture behind the wall.. Here is a video: https://vimeo.com/49751100

I recommend installing a dry well and a sump pump. If you have any questions I can be reached at Ecoslivings@gmail.com Good Luck
