Add control for hall lights
Has anyone changed their hall lights over to a central switched system or something with a timer/motion/light detector? I’m wondering how complicated this is. We have 3 floors of them on the same circuit and I’d like them to either come on when motion is detected downstairs or have them on a timer. Currently they have their own pull switches but are all hard-wired with no wall switch anywhere. Or has anyone found a decent looking wall sconse that has a light detector so they turn on at night?

That’s very old designed light holding bar. Anyways, I think it’s better to change the holder system and install an advance light holder to make whatever you’ve planning of.

You can set it to sunrise/sunset or program it yourself what time they turn off and on.

I’d like to figure out having them all go on or off together…either something I can do at the end of the circuit that controls them all like a photocell on the top floor or a timer in our cellar.

You can use any light and just install the detector, but I haven’t found a decent looking detector.
