Source for slate kitchen countertop

You should use only slate from Vermont for a kitchen countertop. I have one and I love it. I bought mine from: http://www.vermontstructuralslate.com/

Stone is sold from wholesalers to stone fabricators in slabs, from Vermont, India, Italy, etc.  I would think any fabricator could get this for you, but if you want only a small piece, you will have to ask a few fabricators to check their remnants for a piece big enough for your template(s)
