Kitchen Cabinet Refacing
I am not sure you could reface ikea cabinets. On tv they talk about refacing all the time…

Can anyone suggest who does a good job with kitchen cabinet refacing? I know Home Depot does this. Has anyone used them? It is small tenant’s kitchen and while I don’t want a junky job, I can’t afford to re-do the kitchen altogether. And it would be wasteful to replace perfectly good boxes when its just the doors and facing that need sprucing up. Thanks as always….

Just a thought but maybe check out Build It Green NYC. They have a lot of cabinets in great shape….

we were just at build it green on 9th street/gowanus and they have some beautiful kitchens in there…from what I’ve heard from one contractor (we were talking about ikea cabinets) refacing is most of the cost of replacing. one other idea to consider is paint. I painted my old cheap cabinets and it was a total pain but looked fantastic for several years. Also paid for some new hardware and for about $300 and a week’s work, had a brand-new looking kitchen.
