Unable to obtain home insurance until hurricane passes

Yes. Happens every time there is an impending event, be it hurricane, or wild fire. Happens all over the world.

Geico just sent me an email stating “Currently, due to the weather restrictions, I cannot set up a new policy. We we be able to do so after the storm. I will be in on Monday.”  Has anyone ever seen this type of message before?
