Distinguished Insurance Brokerage....anyone have any experience with them?

I had a less than happy claim experience with Brownstone a year ago. Ended up getting a broker to help me through the process. My broker ended up moving my policy to the Distinguished/Nat Union. So far so good, but no claims. BTW – Brownstone has it’s own claims department to handle claims and they keep changing insurance carriers – not good signs…

An insurance broker is proposing a policy on my 3 family brownstone from Distinguished (http://www.distinguished.com/Index.aspx), an insurance intermediary similar to Brownstone Agency. The underlying insurance company is National Union Fire. Does anyone have any experience with Distinguished or National Union Fire, either good or bad?

National Union is an AIG company. Distinguished sells the same 3 year package that Brownstone used to sell on behalf of New Hampshire Ins. Co. (another AIG Company).

OP here. I had a flood claim 10 years ago and Brownstone was less than helpful. I wonder how much of that is Brownstone vs. the underlying insurance co? Has anyone been through a claim with Distinguished?  Thanks.

anyone else claimed with brownstone? we have our coop insurance with them and always thought they were highly reccomended….though i dont think we’ve ever claimed on them though/at least not within the last 4 years.
