inspector fraud

exactly, it is an abuse of the system. so, does anyone have information on what to do if a teanant bribes a crooked inspector? fraud is fraud, criminals will work both sides, tthats why they are criminals

this is sounding like paranoia. you mean a tenant in a unit you were planning on delivering vacant was trying to sandbag the buyers’ inspector by showing all the things that are wrong with the building?

nope, its a dhcr rent reduction for an emergency complaint of a collapsing floor reduction in service. inspector wrote it up as it was – a floor warped in 1 spot due to water damage tenant left window open in a storm- floor was warped upwards as a trip hazard with no sign of collapse. but found services not maintained due to warped floor and rent reduced to previous level before last annual stabilized 3 percent increase until “emergency is corrected” this means anyone can leave a wet towel on the wood floor to warp and have rent frozen. tenant bragged they gave inspector 20 dollars after a friendly chat.

Why not fix the floor and, eventually, subtract the cost from the tenants deposit?
