Best place for a car inspection?

Any suggestions for where to get a car inspected?  Across the web I’ve seen good reviews of Nam’s on Baltic, but the phone number no longer works.  Anyone been there recently, or have current contact info?  Reviews on Yelp for Pep Boys on 4th and the Shell at Henry and Atlantic are pretty brutal…any other suggestions?

So I ended up taking the car to New Millennium on 3rd Ave (http://bit.ly/owTvhH).  Dropped off at noon, picked up at 4pm, very easy.  No problems with the car, but sense is that the guy is a straight-shooter and I’ll go back here when it’s time for repairs…thanks again for all the suggestions.

I’ve used Alba Motors on 4th Ave for a few years. They’re always straightforwards and reasonable. They also always get the car dirty, but I just take it to the car wash across the street. Small price to pay for honest mechanics.

I have had good results at Pep Boys on two occasions. Quick, while you wait inspection…no effort to sell anything. (Car is reasonably new and in good shape.)

Avoid the repair shop on the corner of Empire Blvd and Bedford Av, across from Firestone. Don’t know enough about Firestone to comment about them.

Then you can pretty much go anywhere, regardless of yelp review. However, wait times will be excruciating on the last saturday of every month…as most shops have limited inspection sticker hours on Saturdays. My recommendation is to drive east along Altantic Ave towards Prospect/Crown Hts.

Inspection as in registration sticker? The process to get a sticker is exactly the same from shop to shop, only difference being wait time. If inspection means routine mantanance, depends on the type of car. If euro, I recommend Lorenzutti. STAY AWAY from the crooks at Shell on Atlantic/Henry.
