Awkwardly located leak in foundation
You gotta get to the crack with hydraulic cement or a material that will expand into the fracture. After it dries test it with a hose or powerwasher. No water you did a good job.

Our home is a single-family, frame construction, back-building. As such, the north-facing wall is on the lot lines, along with the east and west. There is a narrow, perhaps 2-foot wide, space between the back of our building and the building to the north of us. My wife recently noticed some water damage on the kitchen floor in the northeast corner of the first floor. There doesn’t appear to be any water in the cellar below this spot, so we are assuming it is coming in under the wall but not running down the foundation. Want to resolve this, certainly before winter and when snow sits on the spot. Here’s the question: How do we check this and effect repairs? I considered rappelling down off the roof but she didn’t like that. What sort of contractor do we retain for this work? Mason? Carpenter? I can maybe climb the neighbor’s fence and get in there. Can I merely slop a bunch of quick-crete along the seam where the wall meets the foundation? Any guidance and recommendations welcome.

I did a job very similar to this just before Irene hit to solve a modest leak into my basement. I found some bigger holes on the outside and plugged them with hydraulic cement and used mortar mix (after cleaning the surfaces) to build a tiny ski ramp from the ground over and up the wall. When it dried I painted the whole thing with two coats of Drylock. It did the trick. How long it lasts remains to be seen…
