HVAC Humidity Issues

Hi, I have a Fujitsu ductless system installed in a 1920s row house. Downstairs is a 24K BTU unit and our bedroom upstairs has a 9K unit, each has its own cooling unit outside. Downstairs works great, upstairs was working great but the past month the humidity level in the bedroom has been through the roof! I have tried all the various modes on the system. Auto, dry etc. I tried a dehumidifier and still no luck. The HVAC company has come twice and says the unit is working properly. Based on readings from a separate thermometer the room temp. seems to be reaching the setpoint. Any thoughts or suggestions? -A

It sounds as if moist air from downstairs is overloading the dehumidifying capacity of the upstairs unit. Where are the ducts for the downstairs? If they’re low, they’d be more efficient placed up high & might dry out the hot air rising to the upstairs.
