ductless HVAC

hi – i know a while back a user @firstslope noted they had been happy with a new ductless install (also used as primary heat). looks like that thread is closed, but i’d appreciate any recommendations for an installer. we’re looking to replace a traditional ducted AC with gas furnace system (four units) with mini-splits and heatpumps. thanks in advance.

Thanks Richard. That’s helpful. All the AC guys appear to be super busy right now. One of the firms mentioned above said they can’t take any new clients till January 🙁

Try Wing at (914) 755-6751. He installed a ducted mini split Mitsubishi system in our house and it, and he, have both been terrific. Nice guy, super conscientious about work quality, and good pricing. His English isn’t perfect but it’s certainly adequate, and he really does know his stuff.

Sam Chiu, Home Air 1 (347) 880-4256 – really good guy and knows his stuff. I’ve used him twice so far – two mini-split systems with wall units in my photo studio, and two separate systems in my house reno recently – one with two wall units on the ground floor, and one with a concealed unit in the ceiling over a bathroom ducting to three bedrooms.
