Source to replace broken curved glass panel on chandelier?

Thanks, everyone. How would I find out who the manufacturer is for this light? It’s from Restoration Hardware.

Hi all, Does anyone know of a source that can replace a broken glass panel on the chandelier in the link below? I’ve called the place where I bought it and they do not carry replacement parts. http://www.restorationhardware.com/catalog/product/product.jsp?productId=prod1619196&categoryId=cat1701013

you need a glass blower. I have thought about working with glass and have watched my wife’s brother do it (he makes lab glass, but he is not here) and he uses actylene which is a common welding/brazing gas. a glass blower can take a piece of glass and turn it into anything. if I had a welding torch now, I would try it for the challenge. there is a shop in upper manhattan (east side in the 60’s I think) that repairs crystal but I think they do grinding as opposed to using heat. you can start by calling them or by calling the stain glass guy (peter) on 5th. I am sorry I do not have a torch as I have always wanted to start working some glass. Steve

Sorry to steal thunder here, but I also have an old large wall light that we bought but have not yet installed that recently met the floor, and we need a non-stock glass diffuser made. If anyone has any leads, I would appreciate them. We tried many, many chandelier and glass repair shops to no avail. We have two, so this would involve duplicating the sister diffuser. Any leads to nyc_sport at yahoo.com would be appreciated. thanks.

I have been trying to find a replacement for a simple 12″ tall curved piece of glass from a hanging cylindrical light and had no luck beyond the custom glass people, one of whom quoted a minimum of $260, the other $500 minimum (neither were Sunburst). I suggest you try to figure out who manufactured the light and go directly to them. It looks like a really nice light and worth figuring out — but your typical glass place won’t be of any help and the custom people will be expensive.

You need to go to see Charles flickinger at flickinger glassworks red hook blooklyn. It will not be cheap as bent glass needs to have a mold made. 718 875 1531 He is the pro to see if you are restoring old or designing new

sunburst studios will just sub the job out to flickinger I think no one will do it for cheap unless you can find a student glass blower or ceramicist with access to an electric kiln who knows how to slump glass. You also need to match the glass color ect and grind it to fit. I would have done it twenty years ago for you if you were half way cute and if you paid my bar tab….
