Window replacement

I’m looking for someone to replace upper floor windows (about 12) in historic district brownstone. Here are my questions. Does everyone really get landmarks permit? And has anyone worked with
Heights Historic Window and Door? Anyone have good experiences with any other companies (please don’t respond if you are a company)
