Where to buy VELUX Skylights and contractor to install them

I may need to replace two of my VELUX Electric Skylights installed in a kitchen on the top floor. I have a flat roof. Any recommendation on which one to buy, where to buy and a company/contractor to install them?

bklynreno, Yes on Allied. It was installed last summer and no leaks. It’s really awesome to be able to open/close with a remote and that it closes automatically when it rains. My roofer does commercial bldgs. primarily and wouldn’t do skylight only installs. Ask the folks at Allied for installer recs. I’d hold off ordering the Velux until your installer’s on board and sees the specs. Lastly, Google search for NYS solar rebates too, It changes year to year. Good luck.

Allied Building Supply in Sunset Park. They’re usually very helpful. I got a Velux Solar powered skylight with rain sensor last year and I love it. It was even eligible for a $500 solar related tax credit (at least in 2018). My roofer installed it as part of a new roof install.
With a flat roof you’ll need to make sure the skylight curb is high enough.
