Im moving my studio in the Brooklyn Navy Yard to another building about 50 yards away. Have some large and heavy pieces that I need help with but I don’t need someone with a truck due to proximity of the new space. I saw Paul to Haul recommended here but he is already booked. Any other recs? Thanks

Well, Surround Art (in the Yard) is one of the biggest insured, professional art handlers anywhere, you can ask them to do it, or to recommend one of their people who works on the side. Or, walk to Bldng 92\. Get on the elevator. Walk to the employment office. Tell them what you need. They will give you the names and phone numbers of people who want the work. Go up one floor to the cafe. Wait for an answer. I am in Building 3 and have been very pleased with the people referred to me by the Navy Yard. Employers from outside the Yard, you can hire from our employment office too, and use the website brooklynnavyard.com or google building 92. Sorry for the snarky reply. Couldn’t stop myself.
