Union Installed Before the Water Meter

Good morning, hoping for some advice. DEP came to repair the grey meter box outside of our home. Upon entering our basement , the DEP employee noted that ” the union is installed before the meter ” and that this needs to be addressed.

Does anyone have a ballpark for how much this should cost to get a plumber to fix? And/or a reasonably priced and proficient plumber recommendation ?
