Tree removal for neighboring construction

Looking for the forums opinion on what I should do with a situation I have. An adjoining lot has been under construction with a new set of condos for most of the summer. This project includes a driveway that will run between my building and theirs. As the crew has begun to prepare to pour the driveway it has put a very large tree in my backyard at risk. I understand that this is unavoidable and for both the safety of my building and theirs I’m leaning to letting them remove it. My question for everyone is what should I demand from the builder to do this? A new tree is a must but is there any standard on how this is addressed? Has anyone else had this situation?
