so who wants them? BM has first refusal.

the bag for the bookstore has a direct dial phone number on it. so when did that come in in brooklyn? i cannot find the answer on line. the little green label is a pack of pins. there were a bunch of papers in with this and i did suggest to the owner that he go through those (there was a prestamped envelop with a washington bust that i guess was from the wwII period as well). i could not go through it all as the dust would have been too much for me.

There is no more Brooklyn Historical Society. It merged with the Brooklyn Public Library and is now the Center for Brooklyn History. Not sure how much collecting they’re doing. You could also reach out to New York Historical Society or Museum of the City of New York.

yes, i went to look for the website and saw that. and the NY Historical Society has a great bottle collection and i have some cans and tins of old glues and things to donate to one of these places. i’ve emailed the brooklyn organization already to see how to get them the bag.

bob, my wife is very unhappy that i hoard a lot of things. i have been giving some of it away and selling other bits (restoration contractor came by here and took some – he still has not recovered which is why we have not seen him on here recently) and i have more to go. the truth is, i clear some out only to bring more in. i do keep the local stuff for people who collect it or the museums.
