Termite (and Pest) Control Company Recommendation

I have a recommendation for a pest control company. M&M Pest Control in Long Island City. 212-219-8218.

I first spoke to Raymond at M&M two years ago after a member of this forum conferred with me about a problem she was having and i contacted him with some questions. he was forthcoming.

A couple weeks back, i did a home inspection and located termite damage. i am a nys dec licensed termite inspector (“wood destroying insect technician” is the proper term; i did this to learn more about moisture and wood rot, not to kill bugs) but admittedly I have never worked in the field under a senior licensed technician. to get a better understanding of what i was seeing, i advised my client to contact M&M. I wrote the email and sent it. We immediately heard back from the office staff who flag the email for Raymond and a short time later we heard from him. He had no problem with me attending the inspection he set up with my client and he answered my and my client’s questions openly. This is what i look for when i deal with contractors. If they cannot answer the questions i ask or get cagey, the relationship ceases right there (they would not get past the initial phone call).

My client and i conferred and we are in agreement that he is a top-quality professional. if you contact him, tell him i told you to call.

and please know something, i have never ever taken money or materials or even a dinner from a contractor for referring them around. Not once have i ever done that here or anywhere. No one anyplace can read this comment and challenge it.
