Suggestions for buying a custom size external door that won't break the bank

2 years ago. See http://www.hmidoors.com. They don’t sell directly; you have to go through a dealer. A place like Dyke’s lumber will let you order the door from them or from other companies like Reeb. You’ll have to install yourself. Alternately you go to a place like Windows We Are and they do a full service buy and install.

We need to buy a door for our rental unit that will lead out to the backyard. We need to get something that will be full glass, and the size is not standard. Can anyone suggest a solution that won’t cost thousands?

I got mine from Windows We Are. The door was from HMI and was about $900 and the installation was about $1000. Full lite metal door with great weatherstripping and insulation. It was a custom size, about 84″ tall.
If your contractor or you install it you’ll save money but installing an exterior door takes a bit of know-how.
