Stair repair

I’ve used All American Stairs and Railings based in Queens – they were good at restoring an existing 1870’s stairway. We did replace the wood treads but they reinstalled the balusters and installed the little cove and lattice moldings so it looks exactly as before but is solid, level and quiet.

Hi all – am in need of major indoor staircase repair and am looking for someone with experience repairing/restoring (rather than replacing). I’ve searched the archives and see lots of references to companies that seem to have been good and reliable in the past, but no more (ie. Soxco). Any new experience/recommendations out there?

I used Soxco a couple of years ago. They really did a great job and were easy to work with . They are pricey but others never returned my calls.
