Sound proof a brownstone

Our house is on a busy corner. The long side of the house is also directly across from a fire station. It’s to the point of moving or seperation if we can’t resolve this!
I wonder if anyone else has had luck with citiwindow or city proof or another vendor?
I assume we would need to do the whole house but I wonder if it would work as items actually shake from the trucks going past and the siren blasts come directly at and within feet of our windows as the make the turns into the street.
Also: anyone have experience with the cost? I’m looking at 20 windows if we skip the basement level. If not add another 10.

I am having all my front windows on my Brownstone replaced tomorrow with double paned and then laminated for extra sound proofing. I live on Atlantic, I will let you know tomorrow if it helps.

I would try something like indow windows, interior storm windows, indow has a soundproofing option. It would be cheaper than replacing your windows with triple pane I bet.

I’m hoping the window fix helps. During the day it’s annoying. During the night it’s jarring. I stay upstate part time so I think that makes it worse.

I’ve lived a block from a firehouse for >40 years. Our house is 8 houses away from the corner and the trucks blast their horns just as they pass our window. Triple-glazed windows, installed in the mid-70s have helped a bit, but it’s still loud. However, you DO, eventually, get used to it–don’t sell just yet!
