Sidewalk repairs
I am in need of a licensed contractor to repair the concrete sidewalk in front of my house. Has anyone done this and can recommend someone that did a good job?

Some years ago I used a mason who specialized in brownstone repair to repair the concrete sidewalk in front of our house, replace the concrete front yard with paving, and paint the iron railings. He was “licensed” with the city as a contractor (there is no special license for masons as there is for plumbers and electricians) and carried modest insurance. He had nicely redone the brownstone stoop and paved the yard of a neighbor. I can’t recommend people because I work for Brownstoner, but you may find recommendations for good people who can repair a sidewalk through neighbors or by searching the Brownstoner Pros section (classified ads) on this site. You may also find recommendations on this Forum by searching “sidewalk repair” and “Brownstoner Forum” on Google. Good luck with your work.
