Seeking advice: new condo - missing insulation and water damage

Recently bought a new condo apt from sponsor, along with two other owners (small building, 4 units, one still vacant). We have discovered some major issues, one being an entire wall is missing insulation, and there is also several areas of water damage.

Sponsor has agreed to address these issues as we are under warranty, but we are wary of them taking shortcuts / quality of work. We are looking to have a thorough inspection of the issue, but unsure how to go about it. Other owners are very reticent to shell out 3-5k for a full engineering report. Should we contact the DoB? Find a lawyer and threaten them to shell out for an engineering report?

Thank you!

All of you individual owners need to read the “Condo Plan”, consult with the Attorneys that represented you when you bought the units; unless they were referred by the seller or sellers broker!
You need to hire your own Engineer inspection. Any Engineer that starts out being hired by the sponsor is going to represent the sponsor.
As new owners there is normally a 7 year window for you to force the sponsor to correct structural & mechanical defects.
And while they still own one unit you will have leverage to collect.
