Seeking a salvaged exterior brownstone door

Agree with no-permitz. To my eye, those Amighini doors look like new doors built (in India? Mexico?) to look old. Just a guess.

Eddie Hibbert out of business on Atlantic Ave too! Does anyone have recommendations for someone else who sells salvaged doors? (Ideally someone in NYC, not out of town.) Or does anyone have one they want to sell? Thanks a lot.

Ugh — I wish I could help you but other than the usual places that I’m sure you know of — since you know of Eddie, I’m sure you know the ones like Big Reuse etc — everything else I know is out of town. Tho Zaborski’s in Kingston, NY could make a reasonable day trip.

Amighini has weird looking doors. I don’t know where they come from, but 95% of them don’t belong on a brownstone.

Those amighini prices are ridiculous. I got my door from http://www.archantiquities.com and was very satisfied. They come stripped and the shipping to Brooklyn was about $300-400 or so. They ship a lot of doors to Brooklyn.
