Sanitation ticket - 18" from the curb rule

I am sort of at a loss: 2 second ticket in less than 6 months for having trash within 18″ of the curb. I disputed the first one unsuccessfully. To add salt to the wound, I got this ticket on Friday, alternate side was back in effect last week, but not enforced on our block and the same car has been parked in front from the house for a month+. I don’t see how i can keep that area clean… Are there any successful strategies to dispute these tickets, or should i just pay my $100 and move on?

Fight it, it seems if you do not they have you on their radar as in easy target for their quotas… from my experience. It can build up pretty quickly to thousands a year in extra “taxes”.

I think this time around, you have an argument. I get a few dozen tickets a year and I fight them all. I could easily pay them, but but why should I when 90% of them are bogus.
