restoring backyard access to basement

likely during the 70s it looks like the masonry basement had its backyard door concrete blocked over. now i would like to get back into the basement area in an easier way than going down the very narrow steep hatch. i know some type of stairs would need to be cut into the existing concrete slab.

where would i begin in pricing out a project like this?

You’ll need to get a few masonry contractors to come in, take a look, and give you a price. Though you’ll find that they’ll either give you a through the roof price or just not want to do it. It’s not so much as cutting into the existing concrete slab, but cutting out a large section out, digging it out, and pouring out concrete stairs & walls.
