Repair Mahogany Banister

Can anyone recommend someone who can repair a damaged mahogany banister? The banister has a gash in the wood caused by delivery people. We’re looking for an antique restorer or carpenter who can do this type of woodwork repair. The person has to be willing to take on smallish job.

The trick is getting the right color pigment from an art store, then mix it in with epoxy filler and finish it like the rest of the banister

Heights Carpentry used to do that. Not sure if they still do.

Could you post a photo of the gash? That might affect what sort of restoration I’d recommend.
