Renovation Angel

Does anyone have any experience with Renovation Angel — they bill themselves as America’s premier recycler of luxury pre-owned kitchens where you can buy (or donate) high-end islands, cabinets, etc. https://renovationangel.com/ Seems like a good idea, but wondering how much it might cost to re-work cabinets, for example from there or any other salvage co. and if it’s worth it over cheaper custom options.

Hi,
We have been building and installing custom and so called luxury kitchens for the past 15 years. Reality is that quality custom kitchen always will be better than “luxury”. Things you need to pay maximum attention to:

1.“Luxery” kitchens from showrooms are mass produced , often with cheaper materials: cabinets made out of MDF or melamine.
The cost is higher , because of marketing expenses.

2. “Luxery” kitchens have standard sizes and might not fit your existing space, or space wil need to be built out to accommodate those cabinets.

3. Installation – all custom cabinets installed by fabricator, who does that as a full time job. “Luxery showrooms” have a huge problems with skilled installer, most of the installs outsourced to third party… at the end no one is responsible for the finished product.

Go with custom! Save $$$.
