recent sewer replacement quotes
Has anyone had their sewer line replaced recently? I mean the part from the street into the house? I’d be curious to hear who you used, if you liked them or not, and what you paid? So far I’ve been quoted 20K by Harris and 29K by Balkan.
Thanks

I’d love a storm water retention tank, but I think it’d be even better if the city switched to a modern two-pipe wastewater system.

Retention tank was not required in fall 2022 when we did our 2 family. Fully permitted including full plumbing replacement in entire house, from main in street all the way back to sewer main. It was expensive but I hope to never have to do anything but maintenance again. Got rid of a lead main as well so was worth it with kids.

Is anyone familiar a requirement to install a stormwater retention tank with a timed release valve when running a new sewer line in a 1-3 family house?

Those quotes sound in line with what I got 2 years ago. I ended up getting the best price from Figliolia.

That’s about what we paid Harris. Recommend replacing water line too unless it’s brand new so you never have to do agai. They’re often in the same trench.

The cost can vary a lot depending on how deep and how long the trenching is. How far is the City sewer line from your house? How deep is it?

I used Harris for a 4″ water sprinkler line.
They were excellent to deal with.
