ProForm Chimney Liners

Has anyone had experience with the ProForm chimney lining system? It’s a composite material that conforms to any shape and seems less expensive than stainless steel. Would love any feedback peeps may have on recent experiences with it. Thanks ! Ari and Erin

Jes Diaz – our situation precludes us from being able to open the walls up, so we need something that can be installed in the least invasive method possible.

Master Plumber – yes, we’re north of 300K, but do not exceed 350K.

a 7″ flue vents about 350,000 BTUs. Are you sure you need one that large? Many chimney contractors don’t know how to size a flue. They just put back what’s there.

You could easily get a quote under 10,000 in a 4 story house

Have you considered SmoothWall Double Ply Stainless Steel Chimney Line

Jes Diaz, any idea what something like ProForm would cost? We got quoted north of $12K for a 7”diameter install on a 4 story brownstone. That seems very, very high to me!

Well, I have about 10 years of experience working with chimney and from my understanding proform is a bit more expensive and heavier than stainless steel .However it depends on what size of liner you are looking to install, I guarantee you that if you call BELVEDERE fireplace and chimney he will definitely work something out for you. MUST CONTRACTOR will quote higher in stainless steel because it requires more work to install it, it’s just a tricky move to sale proform since it will be a much easier job.

Did you ever get a price on this install?

From what I see on the website this is for oil and gas only, not suitable for wood.
