post construction cleaning company

The GC should have his workers do this for free. However I thin it could also be done DIY, and probably better than most workers would do.

Not necessary. Get the dry Swiffer pads and poles and have any cleaning crew wipe the walls and ceilings and all surfaces. Also, see if they can use Hepa vacuums. Remove drawers and get under and inside all crevices. I once spent $1400 on a “professional” post construction cleaning and could have done the same thing hiring less expensive cleaners for a few hundred. Live and learn!

I would mention that not just any crew is up to this. Think about accountability. After you tell the regular crew that you want them pulling out every draw they see and and wiping down the tops of doors, etc. (all totally warranted), they might just get fed up or say it’s unnecessary. Do you want your cleaning company telling you it’s not necessary to clean something that you want cleaned? Do you have small kids? Asthmatics? Just a few thoughts.
