Package theft

Someone literally came to our door, opened our package, took the items and left the empty box in front of our stoop. Is this the new normal now!? Feeling quite upset. Should I report to police?

I’m surprised you haven’t had a package stolen yet, honestly.

Get a nice wood deck box and have your deliveries placed in there. We’ve used the same cute IKEA one for three years now and the only time packages get stolen is when there’s a new delivery person who doesn’t put the package in the box. Or laser ship who just don’t care.

I have not yet had this problem, but there are many reports of package theft on my neighborhood’s forums so I fear it IS indeed the new norm. I think you should report it nevertheless.
