Outstanding Violations/Penalties by former contractor

So I have had so many issues come up this year. I got an ECB violation against the house and contacted some lawyers for advice. The lawyer I would recommend is Benimovich, Currie and Ajasin. I spoke to Mr. Benimovich who was straight forward and told me the steps to clear my violation. He told me I could also appear at the courthouse where I would have to appear for my violation to ask questions to the clerks there. I was not charged a consultation fee but I would have payed for the peace of mind. He was the most thorough and also lawyers are hard to reach by phone. I felt I had his complete attention instead of someone answering a phone call when on break from a case.

Hi All – I have been given murky counsel thus far on how to handle the outstanding violations/penalties incurred by a former contractor. All of the violations were addressed to the contractor and a site safety supervisor. I have a new contractor and they have their permits and continuing the work. So the penalties have not held up the transition to the new contractor or the permitting. But I am concerned about what happens down the road when it is time for the COO. Do I need to have these cleared even if they are not addressed to me personally as the owner?
