outdoor rat control with dogs

my mom has them yappers and she knows i like history more than i do dogs and hence conveyed the history to me.

we have a smaller dog and a fenced in yard, but the rat activity back there has significantly picked up. definitely a few large construction projects as well as a neighbor abruptly packing up and hitting the road with the pandemic have contributed to the problem but would really like to hear strategies for minimizing this. so far traps with peanut butter have been completely ineffective. thanks!

Call an exterminator, best way to handle this situation. I recommend Kingsway Exterminators in Brooklyn, NY. I have used this company for bedbugs and squirrel removal from attic!!!
