Great photos. Note also “second” parlor is “music room” with piano. I agree, looks like the bedroom of a college student. And is decorated similarly to dorm rooms of the time I have seen in historic photos.

Couple weeks back there was a discussion about the little 8ft wide rooms over the stairs of a typical 20 ft row house and I mentioned I had seen a historical picture of one, used as an office. That discussion is closed, so here it is. from 1909 pic of the Sweezy house in Harlem.
