New community art space in South Slope with classes!

Hi, there!

Bklyn Clay, a new community art space for pottery classes and studio membership, is opening soon in South Slope, and we’re having a free opening party and art show this Friday.

About Bklyn Clay
Bklyn Clay, a new community art space for pottery classes and studio membership, is opening soon in South Slope, and I thought your readers might be interested. We’re offering adults’ and kids’ pottery classes starting September 26th and studio memberships with 24/7 access starting October 1st. We’re so excited to build a community of artists and amateurs alike, and will be offering a ton of options—like a gas kiln, porcelain, gold lustre—that aren’t widely available in Brooklyn currently.

Free opening party and art show, 9/16, 6-9pm
This Friday, to celebrate our upcoming opening, we’re having a free party and art show for local artist Dave Zackin. Dave’s sculptures and functional pottery are witty and eccentric—think: lamp bases made of old men’s heads and ceramic mix tapes. Come check out some weird art and drink free beer!

We’re so excited to meet our neighbor s. Hope to see you and your readers Friday!

Thanks so much,

Cor Garcia-Held and Jennifer Waverek
