Neighbor feeding birds in backyard

@resident2: i was all excited when they made laws regarding this as we had the issue here. but then someone said it only applied on public property. and i was mad for just the reason you state – we had a two year old at the time. i would like to know the wording of the law. to me it sounds like one more example of the city trying to do something and stopping short-

Hi everyone. A new tenant moved into the garden level of the building next door to our home, and has been spreading bird feed all over his yard (not in a bird feeder, just spread all the ground).

I’ve asked him to stop, multiple times. But he refuses to, and keeps saying that “it’s not illegal”.

My issue is that obviously, there’s a lot more birds around, and therefore a lot more bird poop in my yard. I’m also concerned about attracting rats.

Anything I can do here?

Motion activated water sprinkler and/or ultrasonic bird repeller. Condition them to only hang around & poop in the neighbors yard.

I feel this pain so much…
There is a woman who puts food for the local cats outside of one of our garages. It attracts every animal in a five block radius and has ruined the neighbors garage (who we plan to purchase from soon). I have asked several times for her to stop, and have removed the makeshift box she puts up about a billion times. She waits for me to leave, even for a minute, and puts everything out…I swear I feel like its an episode of a prank TV Show

It’s not illegal but its a disgusting, unneighborly nuisance. Bird poop absolutely attracts rodents and critters.

we had serious problems with a former next door neighbor of mine feeding pigeons. there were so many pigeons fly over that the entire street turned on these people.

It is a Department of Health violation to feed birds, not only because bird poop is dangerous for small children & pregnant women, but it attracts rats.
Call 311 & do not renew their lease.
