Moving roof drain pipe / space between fences
You have to keep the downspout on your property. Typically on townhouses the gutters are level, so yes you could move it to the other end of the gutter, assuming you would replace the gutter with a new hole in the location you want (or hire someone who knows how to seal the old hole properly).
They are now making barrels to collect rain water for gardening purposes that allow you to integrate the downspout into this collection barrel. I think they then have a hose bib valve to make adding a garden hose to it easy and convenient, along with an overflow that carries excess water into your storm/sewer drainage pipe. Hope this helps, good luck.

Hello all, couple of questions. On the back of the house, I’m trying to move the roof drainage pipe from the left side of the house to the right side of the house. The goal is to utilize some of this drainage to water the vegetable garden. I could keep it on the current side but it would be a bit of an eyesore due to the placement of the garden. As an alternative, I was wondering if I run a drainage pipe in the space between my and neighbors fence and then bring it back into my yard for the intended goal. So the question are: Can I switch my roof drainage pipe from one side of the house to the other? Or is there a possibility to move a drainage pipe between my and neighbors fence? Thanks
