Mini Split Manufacturer Preference

I have Mitsubishi, but it’s not better than any other efficient unit. Most important is that you find a capable installer that doesn’t oversize the units.

As Homeowners, does anyone have a preference on the Brand they install in their Mini Split or are you looking for the Installer to provide you specifications and match your needs to there?
Curious to see as everyone wants an AO Smith Water Heater but I think rarely understands why outside of “it is what I currently have down there right?”

I talked to two or three contractors and none of them gave me options. They all offered Mitsubishi and the ppl we hired were a “Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor” so I guess they probably wouldn’t even offer different manufacturers.

Also, I knew nothing about the brands going into the process. Just assumed it was mostly Mitsubishi. If a friend asked for a rec, I wouldn’t even necessarily recommend Mitsubishi because I never had others to compare it to.

Same here. Contractor offered Mitsubishi and we have had no problems with the units. Most people seem to think that Mitsubishi units are “the best” but I don’t really know why.
