Mini Split in Condo

Hi, I live in a multi-unit condo and several residents would like to install mini-splits. Since all outside space is common (roof, backyard, exterior of building) we’re not sure how it would logistically be possible. Does anyone have any experience with condo boards approving mini-splits and how that was handled legally and logistically? Was common space allocated for the condensers?
