Got the annual statement from the Department of Finance about the value of my home and it seems on the high end. It says I can appeal by March 15. Are there private services that help with appealing taxes? I am afraid I wont be able to figure out how to do it on my own.

But what is the assessed value? I got mine as well, and the market value was exactly what we paid for it last year, but the assessed value for tax purposes was ridiculously low. I don’t know much about this, but it seemed that the two were not much related. Did you see a big jump on your taxes?
