After sanding. What do I use to stain, seal and poly? I don’t do flooring so I would have to purchase everything after the sanding is complete for the sanding guy.

It shouldn’t cost you more than $1.75-2.25/ft to sand, stain, seal and poly existing floors in average condition. I wouldn’t use the vinyl or laminate, or whatever it is that you are looking at.
I second Bona – it’s a great product.

I was told the cost to sand and poly my existing floors to white would be the same cost as replacing them. ( I don’t know if this is true or not) I am still on the fence about replacing them or sanding them. Space is 467sqft. I have the bona you guys recommended bookmarked, I really like the color on the site!! https://www.bona.com/Bona-Professional/Products/Coatings/Oils–Waxes/Bona-Nordic-Tone/

@lurker, we second the Bona Nordic tone and suggested it already to OP in one of his other – many – posts, so you may have missed it lol. I’m assuming it’s not what he wants.
I think he wants new floor. But we love the stuff.

You can now have that done using Bona! It’s called Bona Nordic Seal. It used to be you have to pickle and stain your boards which took forever, but we got it done and it looks great over white oak, which had been brown colored from water-based poly. We got like 4 coats plus a final coat of Traffic HD I think. We got matte. Looks amazing and is hard as a rock, however we discovered after covid that hand alcohol eats through the finish.

thanks I ordered a sample of this flooring, https://www.llflooring.com/p/renature-saint-anton-strand-extra-wide-plank-engineered-bamboo-flooring—35-year-warranty-10048559.html. it says the minimum plank length is 15.75 in. to max being 72.048 in.

One way they “get ya” on cheap floors is with board length. You may or may not care if your boards are 1-2 feet long, but if you do you should ask/check before you buy.
