Does anyone know of a good (read: cheap) service that does the LL152 certification for buildings with no gas hookups? It seems the definition of absurd that we need to have some $$$ plumber/architect/engineer attest to the fact that we don’t have any gas hookups, pretty sure the DOB could know this if they wanted to.

Absurd indeed!
“Buildings with No Gas Piping
Owners of buildings that do not contain gas piping must submit to the Department a Gas Piping
System Periodic Inspection Certification, signed and sealed by a registered design professional,
stating that such building contains no gas piping. This Inspection Certification must be submitted once every four years….”
I suppose there’s some logic to this, for now. After all buildings without gas service COULD have it installed after inspection. I wonder what happens in the near future though, when new gas installations are prohibited? Will inspections be required indefinitely?
